CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati men’s soccer head coach Hylton Dayes announced the 2013 spring schedule on Friday.
“The spring season is an important step in preparing for the upcoming fall season” said Dayes. “The schedule was designed to challenge our team while allowing us to play against different styles. Playing against in-state rivals such as NKU and Dayton and also Big Ten (Ohio State) and ACC (Duke and N.C. State) opponents will provide the challenge we need to prepare for the fall”
The Bearcats will open the spring slate against Ohio State at Gettler Stadium on Sun., March 3 at 2 p.m. They will then kick off a three-game road swing at Dayton at 2 p.m. on Sat., March 30. UC will travel to North Carolina to take on N.C. State at 6 p.m. on April 6 and Duke at 11 a.m. on April 7. Coach Dayes and company will close the schedule with a home game vs. Northern Kentucky University at 7 p.m. on April 12 and their annual alumni game at 2 p.m. on April 14.
The Bearcats finished the 2012 season ranked fifth in the BIG EAST Red Division and advanced to the BIG EAST Championship for the sixth time in eight years.
