CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati men’s soccer team held a successful free youth clinic on Wed., May 29 at Gettler Stadium. The team welcomed 25 local kids ages K-8th grade to teach them valuable skills and important technique.

“We all had a fun time working with these young soccer players” said head coach Hylton Dayes. “The clinic focused on skill development. It is important for us to be involved in the local community and teaching these youth players the game of soccer is a great way for our coaches and players to give back.”

Coach Dayes, assistant coach Jeremy Bonomo and redshirt freshman goalkeeper Robert Hasselfeld (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) led the clinic. The coaches focused on soccer skills including dribbling, passing and shooting.

The 2013 Bearcats’ men’s soccer schedule will be released later this summer.
