June 3, 2014

CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati men's soccer coach Hylton Dayes has added six student-athletes to the incoming class that will join the Bearcats for the 2014 campaign. Stefan Bangsund, Terence Carter, Nick Frank, Austin Ladd, Michael McCloskey and John Rutan will don the red and black starting this fall. The group will join the already announced quartet of Jack Clark, Christian Hay, Vebjorn Krovel and Alejandro Garcia as newcomers in 2014.

"We are delighted with the quality in this year's recruiting class," Dayes said. "This class fills all our needs, especially in the attacking area. They are all coming from winning environments, which is important as we continue to develop a championship level program."

McCloskey and Rutan enter the program as true freshmen, while Frank is a redshirt freshman, Ladd is a redshirt sophomore and Bangsund and Carter are both juniors. Frank practiced with the Bearcats this spring while completing his freshman year at UC. Ladd spent two seasons at Louisville, redshirting as a freshman. Bangsund played his freshman campaign at Delaware before spending his sophomore season at Highline College (Washington) and Carter played his first two collegiate seasons at Northeastern.
