KANSAS CITY, MO -- University of Cincinnati forward Kenny Anaba (Westerville, OH/Worthington Christian) was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Great Lakes Regionsecond team. It is his second straight all-region selection, as he was named to the third team after the 2006 season.
Anaba was an all-BIG EAST selection for the third straight season after leading the Bearcats with 10 goals and 23 points. The senior striker was named to the league's first team. Anaba's 10 goals were tied for second in the BIG EAST and his 23 points were fifth. He finished his career seventh in the UC record books with 26 career goals and eighth with 65 points (26 G, 13 A). The high-scoring striker was a third-team all-BIG EAST selection in 2005 and a second-team choice in 2006, while earning second-team all-Great Lakes Region honors.
Anaba's selection is the sixth in the last three seasons for the Bearcats. In 2005, Anaba and Omar Cummings were honored and in 2006, Anaba, Cummings and Amir Ikner earned mention.
