Bahner, Jannelli and Patterson Receive Postseason Honors|

The Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association recently announced the 2012 DI Men's Academic All-Ohio and All-Ohio Teams and three University of Cincinnati student-athletes were selected as honorees. Peter Jannelli and Zach Patterson were named to this year's Academic All-Ohio Team, while Matt Bahner was selected to the All-Ohio First Team. Patterson was also named to the All-Ohio Second Team.
"We are delighted that Matt, Zach and Peter have been recognized for their hard work on and off the field by the OSCA," said UC Head Coach Hylton Dayes. "They have made significant contributions to our program and this honor is well deserved."
Bahner, tabbed to the All-Ohio Team, is a senior from West Chester, Ohio. After a season-ending injury in 2011, Bahner started in all 13 games in which he played in 2012. The midfielder scored two goals and averaged 2.31 shots on goal per game.
Jannelli, a junior midfielder, finance major has maintained a 3.57 GPA. Hailing from Springfield, Pa., he played in 18 games with 16 starts for the Bearcats during the 2012 season.
Patterson, who is from Mason, Ohio, finished his senior year as a solidifying force for the Bearcats, as he started all 19 games and had a total of three points this season. The senior, finance major has a 3.40 GPA.
As a team, the bearcats finished the 2012 campaign 6-9-4 (3-3-2 BIG EAST). The Bearcats also qualified for the BIG EAST Tournament for the sixth time in eight years.
