UC, Miami in final of Joe Nuxhall Classic

4/13/2010 - Here is a look at what's coming up this week in UC sports:

• The baseball team will play Miami at 6:30 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Oxford, Ohio, in the championship game of the Joe Nuxhall Classic. UC defeated Wright State and Miami beat Xavier to advance. The Bearcats will then take on St. John's (18-11) in a three-game home series. Game one will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, game two will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, and game three will be at 1 p.m. Sunday. Cincinnati will play Ohio (7-22) at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Chillicothe, Ohio. (more)

UCATS program surpasses expectations

4/7/2010 - In its first year of existence, the Each One Reach One Program rolled out by UCATS (University of Cincinnati Athletic Team Support) in late 2009, has been overwhelmingly deemed a success. When the final numbers were tallied following the Dec. 31 deadline, a total of 207 UC supporters were calling themselves new UCATS members. The contributions netted by the new members surpassed the $37,000 plateau. (more)
