A look at the week ahead in UC sports:
The men's basketball team will face Cal State Bakersfield (2-11) at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Fifth Third Arena. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Ohio and will be on the radio on 700-AM WLW. Cincinnati will then play Seton Hall (9-4) at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. The game will be televised on FS Ohio. UC is 10-4 (2-1 BIG EAST).
The women's basketball team will take on Connecticut (13-0, 2-0 BIG EAST) at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Hartford, Conn. It will then come home to face St. Johns (12-2, 0-1 BIG EAST) at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fifth Third Arena. The Bearcats are 7-6 (0-1 BIG EAST).
The swimming and diving team will face Louisville in a meet at 1 p.m. Saturday in Cincinnati.
The track team will compete in the Indiana Open all day Saturday in Bloomington, Ind.

In case you missed it:
The No. 4-ranked UC football team lost its bid for a perfect season when it lost to No. 5 Florida, 51-24, in the Allstate Sugar Bowl in New Orleans, La., last Friday. The Bearcats end the season 12-1, while Florida became the first school in the Football Bowl Subdivision to win 13 games in consecutive seasons.
The men's basketball team came out on top in the BIG EAST conference opener against No. 13 Connecticut (10-3; 1-1 BIG EAST) 71-69 last Wednesday. The Bearcats continued their winning streak when the beat Rutgers (9-4, 0-1 BIG EAST) 65-58 last Saturday. The streak ended on Monday when Cincinnati fell to No. 23 Pittsburgh (13-2, 3-0) 74-71.
The women's basketball team lost to Louisville (9-5, 1-0 BIG EAST) 63-49 last Saturday at home.
