Here is what is coming up this week in UC sports:
The men's basketball team will take on Marquette (16-8; 7-5 BIG EAST) at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fifth Third Arena. The game will be on BEN/FS Ohio and on the radio on 700 WLW. The Bearcats are 15-10 (6-7 BIG EAST).
The women's basketball team will face Villanova (12-12; 1-10 BIG EAST) at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fifth Third Arena. It will then take on No. 8 West Virginia (22-3; 9-2 BIG EAST) at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Fifth Third Arena. UC is 11-13 (4-8 BIG EAST).
The baseball team will kick off the 2010 season with a series against Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, Fla. The first game is at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The second game is at 2 p.m. Saturday, and it will finish the series with its third game at noon Sunday.
The swimming and diving teams will compete in the BIG EAST Swimming Championships all day Wednesday through Saturday in Pittsburgh.
The track team will compete in the BIG EAST Indoor Championships all day Saturday and Sunday in New York.
Women's golf will start the season with the JU Classic all day Monday and Tuesday in Jacksonville, Fla. This is the first match since the FIU/Pat Bradley Invitational on Oct. 25-27 in Fort Myers, Fla.

SWIMMING AND DIVING
All day Wednesday-Saturday: BIG EAST Swimming Championships, Pittsburgh.
All day Saturday-Sunday: BIG EAST Indoor Championships, New York.
All day Monday-Tuesday: JU Classic, Jacksonville, Fla.
In case you missed it
The men's basketball team lost Tuesday night at South Florida, 65-57. The Bearcats defeated Connecticut last Saturday, 60-48 at Connecticut. The Bearcats are 2-0 this season against the Huskies (15-11; 5-8 BIG EAST).
The women's basketball team lost 59-44 at Providence on Tuesday night after beating Syracuse (18-7; 5-7 BIG EAST) in overtime last Saturday, 66-62. Michelle Jones scored her 1,000th career point at UC on Tuesday night.
The women's tennis team lost to Toledo last Friday 5-2, and again last Saturday to Eastern Michigan, 5-2. But UC redeemed itself last Sunday when it defeated Detroit 4-3.
