DALLAS, Texas - The University of Cincinnati women's basketball team was unable to overcome a first-half scoring deficit Tuesday evening in Dallas as Southern Methodist University earned a 66-47 win over the Bearcats.

A large first-half run proved to be the difference as the Bearcats fell victim to a 21-3 SMU scoring run over an eight minute span in the first half. The Mustangs then went on to out-score UC 27-25 during the final 20 minutes to account for a 66-47 conference win.
