Tiffany Turner (Marlton, N.J./Cherokee) and Chanel Chisholm (Long Island, N.Y./North Babylon/Vanderbilt) combined for 16 of the team’s 17 first-half points, as UIndy held the 22-17 lead at the break.
Reaves scored UC’s first seven points of the second half, but Indianapolis built the lead up to 10, 34-24, in the first five minutes. Both teams remained scoreless for the next four minutes, but Turner ended the drought with 10:32 remaining to make it 34-26. UC didn’t make another basket for another four minutes, but Reaves hit three 3-pointers to cut the deficit, 45-39, with 3:23 left. But that wasn’t enough, as the Greyhounds shot 14-of-19 from the free throw line to seal the victory.
