Fans are encouraged to fill Fifth Third Arena as Wednesday's game will be televised live on Fox Sports Ohio. The First 500 fans will receive a Bearcats rally towel and a 2013 Bearcats All-Sports Calendar. As always, there will be plenty of opportunities to win prizes during the game.
Wednesday is also UC Community Day. UC students will be admitted free with their UC ID card. All UC faculty and staff will be admitted with their ID for just $1.
THE SERIES: Cincinnati leads the all-time series 4-3 with the road team winning each of the last three contests. In fact, each squad holds a winning record on the road in the overall series. The Pirates hold a 3-1 record in the Queen City while the Bearcats are 2-1 in South Orange, N.J. Seton Hall's last win at UC came on February 12, 2011 by a 51-44 score.
LAST TIME OUT: UC suffered a 54-51 loss in the BIG EAST opener as Villanova surged back in the final three minutes of the contest. The Bearcats led for 19 minutes and 39 second of the second half, but couldn't hold of the Wildcats' comeback effort. Villanova's three with 21 second remaining gave them their first advantage since the first half.
SCOUTING THE PIRATES: Seton Hall enters the contest with a 6-8 overall record and a 1-0 mark in the BIG EAST. The Pirates are coming off a 69-56 win over Pittsburgh in their conference opener. Brittany Morris added 19 points while Alexandra Maseko added 16 points and 10 rebounds for her second-straight double-double.
Morris leads the squad in scoring at 12.2 points per contest. Ka-Deidre Simmons is second, pacing 10.2 points. Maseko leads the Pirates in rebounding at 6.1 while Alexis Brown pulls down an average of 5.8 boards per game.
Seton Hall has yet to find a victory on the road, currently 0-3. Those losses have come at Temple, Michigan and Wake Forrest. The Pirates have out-rebounded their opponents in each of the last six games by an average of 8.8 per game. The average was spearheaded by a 43-25 advantage against Mount St. Mary's on Dec. 16.
