CINCINNATI- The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics has announced two women's basketball promotions for the month of February, including a WHITE OUT and Play4Kay game.
Fans are encouraged to wear white for the next home game against Georgetown on Saturday, February 4 at 2 p.m. The first 500 fans will receive a BEARCATS white t-shirt. The east concourse will open at 1 p.m. for the BEARCATS Family Zone where fans can make signs, receive complimentary tattoos and have their faces painted. The Crosby Unicycles are scheduled to perform at halftime.
It is Play4Kay Day when the Bearcats host Pittsburgh on Saturday, February 11 at 2 p.m. in honor of breast cancer awareness month. The WBCA Pink Zone was rebranded this past year as Play 4Kay to ensure Kay Yow's story in the fight against breast cancer is never forgotten. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game to support Breast Cancer awareness, while the first 250 fans to the game will receive a pink Bearcats adidas drawstring backpack. The Kay Yow fund is a charitable organization committed to helping fight against women's cancers through raising money for research. The University of Cincinnati has become a team for Play 4Kay, encouraging fans to make donations for the fight against breast cancer by visiting the team webpage here.
The Pittsburgh game is also the inaugural Faith and Family Day where former UC football standout, Artrell Hawkins, will be speaking to guests on how he tied faith in his life of sports. Groups of ten or more are only $1 each. RSVP for this event to 513-556-0838 by January 28. Additionally, the Sycamore Flyerettes and Norwood high school cheer and dance teams will perform at halftime. Following the game, players from the women's basketball team will be signing autographs. Complimentary posters and markers will be provided.
