The University of Cincinnati women's basketball opens the 2012-13 season on Friday, Nov. 9, against Northern Kentucky in Fifth Third Arena. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. UC defeated Kentucky Wesleyan, 61-41, in exhibition play on Sun., Nov. 4, while the Norse are playing in their first game as an NCAA Division I program.

Today's game marks the 16th time the Bearcats have faced Northern Kentucky. NKU holds an 8-7 lead in the all-time series.
Jamelle Elliott enters her fourth season at Cincinnati in 2012-13. She is 37-53 overall and has won 12 BIG EAST contests. She was a six-time national champion with the Huskies, including helping UConn to its first championship as a student-athlete in 1995. One of the most accomplished players in the distinguished history of the Connecticut program, Elliott finished her career ranked No. 2 among UConn's all-time rebounding leaders (1,054), No. 5 in BIG EAST career rebounding (558), and No. 11 in UConn career scoring (1,387).
Gates open to all games 60 minutes prior to tip-off. Fans entering the arena can do so through the East concourse of Fifth Third Arena. Cash parking is available on Corry Blvd. in Corry, Calhoun, or Varsity Village garages.
All tickets are general admission and are priced at $5 for Adults and $3 for children (12 & under) and seniors (55 or better).
Children three years old and younger are free.
