Cincinnati (1-1) continues its non-conference schedule with a second-straight road game, this time traveling to Kent State (0-2) for a Monday evening contest. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.

The contest will be the second consecutive in-state road trip for the Bearcats after traveling to No. 20/21 Ohio State Wednesday. Despite turning the ball over just 12 times, the Bearcats fell by an 87-49 final score after the Buckeyes shot 67.3 percent from the floor.

Tiffany Turner narrowly missed a double-double in the game with 11 rebounds and nine points. Nine of the junior's 11 boards came on the offensive end. Dayeesha Hollins again led the Bearcats in scoring with 15 points. The junior has reached double digits in scoring during both contests this season.

Kent State enters Monday's game after suffering losses in each of their first two games. The Golden Flashes fell to Massachusetts (83-53) and Eastern Kentucky (56-42) on the road. The Cincinnati-Kent State match up will serve as the home opener for the Golden Flashes.

Kent State is led by first-year head coach Danielle O'Banion. The Boston College alum took over the squad in April after serving as the Associate Head Coach at Memphis.

The Golden Flashes return four starters and seven letterwinners from a squad that finished 6-21 last season. Kent State has been led during the young season by Diamon Beckford, who is averaging 11.5 points. The guard scored a team-best 15 points during the loss to Massachusetts. She is also one of two players to have pulled down double-digit rebounds this season with 11.

Cincinnati leads the all-time series 7-3, holding a 2-1 record at Kent State. It will be the first meeting between the two squads in over 25 years. The last meeting in 1986 saw Kent State edge Cincinnati 77-76. Prior to that, Cincinnati won six straight meetings with the Golden Flashes.
