Hollins Earns Second-Straight BIG EAST Honor Roll Recognition
Hollins averaged 21.5 points and 10.5 rebounds last week.

CINCINNATI - Dayeesha Hollins (Cincinnati, Ohio/Winton Woods/Michigan) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the week of December 3, marking the second consecutive honor for the junior guard.

Hollins averaged a double-double during Cincinnati's two games this week, pacing 21.5 points and 10.5 rebounds. The junior also added eight assists and five steals while going 15-for-16 from the free throw line.

Hollins started the week with 18 points and seven rebounds during a 55-45 win over Morehead State. She dished out five assists in the contest and didn't commit a turnover in 36 minutes of play.

During a double-overtime setback to rival Xavier, Hollins finished just two points shy of her career-high scoring total with 25 points. She also set a new career-best mark in rebounding with 14 to account for the second double-double of her career. The junior added three assists and two steals while going 11-for-12 from the charity stripe.

The two consecutive honors for Hollins bring her career total to three, also earning the distinction once as a sophomore. The junior currently leads the team and ranks third in the BIG EAST in scoring at 18.8 points per contest. She is also 11th in the conference in rebounding, grabbing 7.3 rebounds per game.

The Bearcats will wrap up a five-game homestand this week by hosting Youngstown State Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Eastern Kentucky Sunday at 2 p.m.
