FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – Olivia Dose (Goteborg, Sweden/Goteborg Hogre Samskola) finished seventh out of 77 golfers to lead the University of Cincinnati women’s golf team at the Amelia Island Collegiate hosted by Jacksonville University Monday and Tuesday.

Dose finished out a consistent weekend with a one-over-par 73 on the final day of competition Tuesday. Paired with the senior’s first-day scores of 72 and 74, Dose’s 54-hole total of 219 was good enough to tie her for seventh place in the field. Dose tallied four birdies on the final day to bring her tournament total to 12.

Andrea Malek (Tibro, Sweden/Klippans Gymnasieskola) improved 11 spots on the final day to finish in 23rd place with a 54-hole score of 227. The senior finished with a 75 on Tuesday that included an eagle on the 11th hole. Malek was the only golfer in the field to eagle the par-5, 510-yard hole during the three rounds.

Stefanie Mitchell (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview High School) moved up four spots Tuesday to finish 61st. Carding a 77 during the final round, she finished with a total score of 241. Valentina Herrera (Bogotá, Colombia) and Mackenzie Moir (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) finished out Cincinnati’s scoring team with total scores of 244 and 245 respectively. Herrera finished 65th overall while Moir placed 67th. Moir’s 80 on Tuesday represented her lowest round of the tournament.

Ashley Cassidy (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks) held steady in the standings after the final round, finishing 54th while competing as an individual. The freshman shot a 79 during the final 18 holes to finish with a 238.

Despite recording their lowest team score of the tournament with a 305, the Bearcats were unable to move up the team leader board. UC finished in 11th place, just 10 strokes back of the seventh-place team.

Florida International earned the team title with a three day score of 277-282-300=859. Camila Serrano (67-66-75=208) of Florida International earned medalist honors along with Tiffany Chan (71-66-71=208) of Daytona State College.
