Women's Golf Jumps to 10th on Final Day of Clover Cup|

MESA, Ariz. – The University of Cincinnati women’s golf team moved up four spots on the final day of the Clover Cup hosted by Notre Dame at the Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona to finish 10th overall.
The Bearcats posted their best round of the tournament on Sunday with a 302, improving from a 304 Saturday and a 311 on Friday. Olivia Dose (Goteborg, Sweden/Goteborg Hogre Samskola) and Ashley Cassidy (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks) led UC during the final day as each posted round of 74. Dose recorded four birdies while Cassidy carded three.
Stefanie Mitchell (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview High School) and Cassidy recorded UC’s top finishes at the event with each tying for 25th place with scores of 76-73-78=227 and 75-78-74=227 respectively.
Dose’s 74 Sunday moved her into a tie for 36th place to finish the weekend and score of 76-79-74=229. Andrea Malek (Tibro, Sweden/Klippans Gymnasieskola) finished 58th with a score of 85-74-76=235 and Valentina Herrera (Bogota, Colombia) placed 82nd with a score of 84-82-81=247.
Tara Liebert (Mason, Ohio/Mason) competed as an individual at the event and finished 86th with a score of 84-87-84=255.
Louisville earned overall team champion honors with a team score of 299-292-297=888. Kristina Nhim of Notre Dame won individual medalist honors with a score of 68-72-73=213.
The Bearcats will next compete at the Plantation Inn Intercollegiate which they will host at the Plantation Inn Golf Resort and Spa in Crystal River, Florida Friday, March 21 through Sunday, March 23.
