Bearcats Sixth after Second Round of Spring Invitational|

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. – The University of Cincinnati women’s golf team dropped five strokes off their team score during the second round of the UC Spring Invitational Saturday afternoon, shooting 304 to sit tied for sixth place.
The Bearcats trail Lynn (303-295=598), Jacksonville (308-293=601), Memphis (309-300=609), Seton Hall (308-304=612) and Seminole State (306-306-312) in the team standings after 36 holes.
The senior duo of Andrea Malek (Tibro, Sweden/Klippans Gymnasieskola) and Olivia Dose (Goteborg, Sweden/Goteborg Hogre Samskola) are tied for 11th place after the first two rounds with seven-over-par scores of 151. Malek carded a 75 on Saturday with three birdies while Dose posted a 76 with one birdie.
The rest of UC’s scoring team all improved from their first round scores led by Valentina Herrera (Bogota, Colombia) who dropped five strokes from Friday to Saturday, turning in a 79 and ranking 57th with her 36-hole total of 163.
Ashley Cassidy (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks) and Mackenzie Moir (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) each dropped four strokes to shoot 76 and 79 respectively. Cassidy is tied for 31st place with an 80-76=156 while Moir is in 52nd place with an 83-79=162. Stefanie Mitchell (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview) is tied for 25th in the field with a 78-77=155.
