Fourth-Place Finish Caps UC Spring Invitational|

CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team improved their team score for the third-straight day Sunday and jumped to four to wrap up play at the UC Spring Invitational at the Plantation Inn Golf Resort and Spa.
The Bearcats cracked 300 for the first time this weekend carding a 298 during the final 18 holes. Cincinnati's 309-304-298=911 was just one spot out of third place, finishing behind team champion Jacksonville (308-293-286=887), Lynn (303-295-296=894), Seton Hall (308-304-298=910) and tying with Florida Southern (316-299-296=911).
Olivia Dose (Goteborg, Sweden/Goteborg Hogre Samskola) turned in UC's best round during the final 18 holes with a one-over-par score of 73. The senior was two-over near the halfway point, but picked up birdies on 13 and 18 before shooting par on her final four holes. Her final score of 224 placed her 10th in the field.
Andrea Malek (Tibro, Sweden/Klippans Gymnasieskola) finished just one stroke back of Dose with a 74 on Sunday, bringing her three-day total to 225 and placing her 11th in the field. Malek recorded par on nine straight holes during her final round.
Stefanie Mitchell (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview) and Ashley Cassidy (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks) each tied for 27th place with rounds of 78-77-78=233 and 80-76-77=233 respectively. Mackenzie Moir had her best day of the weekend on Sunday with a 74, bringing her three-day total to 83-79-74=236 and placing her 42nd. Valentina Herrera (Bogota, Colombia) rounded out UC's scoring team with a score of 84-79-80=243 and finishing 58th in the field.
Tara Liebert (Mason, Ohio/Mason) rebounded from a rough second round to shoot 75 on the final day and tie for the top finish by an individual at the event. Her score of 73-87-75=235 placed her 37th overall. Sofia Langenius (Hovas, Sweeden) also competed as an individual, finishing 79th with scores of 85-88-82=255
The Bearcats next team event will be at the Marsh Landing Invitational March 7-8.
