Final Results

PONTE VERDA BEACH, Fla.  – The University of Cincinnati women’s golf team wrapped up the final day of the Web.com Intercollegiate Tuesday with a third-round score of 310. The event was hosted by Jacksonville University and North Florida University at the Marsh Landing Country Club.

The Bearcats turned in their second-best score of the tournament during Tuesday’s final round to finish with a score of 301-313-310=924, placing 18th in the field. Florida State captured the team title with the only below-par score of the tournament at 288-280-283=851 or 13-below par. The Seminoles were 24 strokes ahead of second-place East Carolina who recorded a score of 289-286-300=875.

Olivia Dose (Goteborg, Sweden/Goteborg Hogre Samskola) finished 35th with a score of 70-75-78=223 to account for UC’s lowest score. The senior placed tied for 35th in the field. Andrea Malek (Tibro, Sweden/Klippans Gymnasieskola) tied for 62nd with a score of 74-79-77=230. Stefanie Mitchell (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview) tied for 73rd with a score of 76-80-76=232 to finish just behind Malek in 73rd place.

Ashley Cassidy (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks East) finished 93rd with scores of 83-79-79=241 while Mackenzie Moir (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) finished 98th with scores of 81-80-85=246.

Individual medalist honors went to Matilda Castren of Florida State who posted sub-par rounds each day to finish 69-66-69=204 (-12).

The Bearcats will next compete at the American Athletic Conference Championship Sunday, April 1 through Tuesday, April 3.
