Bearcats Finish Seventh at BIG EAST Championship|

REUNION, Fla. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team finished seventh at the 2012 BIG EAST Championship on Tuesday at The Watson Course at Reunion Resort and Club.
The Bearcats posted rounds of 315-327-320=962 to finish five shots ahead of eighth-place Georgetown (319-324-324=967). USF (298-306-306=910) won the team title by one shot over Notre Dame (296-313-302=911).
Olivia Dose led the way for UC with rounds of 75-82-81=238, which was good for a tie for 19th. Andrea Malek (79-81-81=241) was 23rd, Alex Carl (79-82-82=243) tied for 27th, and Maria Roos (82-85-78=245) tied for 30th.
Notre Dame's Ashley Armstrong won the individual title after defeating Louisville's Emily Haas on the third playoff hole. Both players posted totals of 223 and finished the tournament seven-over par. Both players bogeyed the 18th in the first hole of the playoff. They played the hole again and both registered pars. Armstrong birdied the hole the third time around to secure the victory.
