STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team is 12th after the second day of the Nittany Lion Invitational at Penn State's Blue Course.
The Bearcats have posted identical rounds of 308-308=616, three shots back of BIG EAST foe Georgetown (306-307=613). Host Penn State (292-283=575) leads the team competition by 20 strokes over second-place Old Dominion (296-299=595).
PSU golfers hold down the top two individual spots through 36 holes, as Ellen Ceresco (69-69=138) and Christina Vosters (73-68=141) lead the way.
UC's Olivia Dose is tied for 29th after a second straight round of 76-76=152. Andrea Malek posted identical 77-77=154 rounds, which is tied for 37th and Alex Carl is right behind with rounds of 76-79=155, tied for 42nd.
"Another day of struggles for us, but the team is working hard on fundamentals," said head coach Janet Carl. "I'm pleased with the team's commitment level and I am looking forward to the third round."
The third and final round will get underway at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.
