STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - The University of Cincinnati women's golf team finished 12th at the Nittany Lion Invitational on Sunday at Penn State's Blue Course.
Olivia Dose was strong throughout the three-day event, finishing tied for 27th with rounds of 76-76-75=227. Andrea Malek was two shots behind in a tie for 33rd after carding rounds of 77-77-75=229.
Alex Carl (76-79-76=231) was tied for 43rd with Maria Roos (80-76-79=235) tied for 56th.
Host Penn State won the team title going away, posting rounds of 292-283-287=862, two under par. The Bearcats (308-308-305=921) were two shots behind BIG EAST foe Georgetown, who finished 11th with rounds of 306-307-306=919.
Ellen Ceresko of Penn State was eight under (69-69-70=208) to earn the individual crown.
"We were better today. The team is improving daily," said head coach Janet Carl. "We're ready to get back to campus and get back to work."
The Bearcats are next in action at the Price's Give 'Em Five Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, N.M., on Oct. 8-10.
