Women's Golf Set to Open Season at Sir Pizza Terrapin Classic|

CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s golf team will open its spring 2013 season on Mon., Feb. 25 at the Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge at Shula’s Golf Club in Miami Lakes, Fla.
The Bearcats are one of 16 teams that will participate in the two-day tournament. All teams will play 36 holes on Monday and will finish with 18 holes on Tues., Feb. 26.
UC will compete alongside formidable opponents from 10 Division-1 NCAA conferences, including the ACC, SEC, Big 12 and BIG EAST. Also participating in the Sir Pizza Terrapin Classic are host Maryland, East Tennessee, N.C. State, Miami, Louisville, Florida International, Jacksonville, Kansas, Memphis, Missouri, Xavier, Arkansas State, Mercer, Illinois State and Missouri-Kansas City.
Junior Olivia Dose (Goteborg, Sweden/Goteborg Hogre Samskola) paced the Bearcats during the fall competition, averaging 75.1 strokes per round with a low of 69 at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational on Oct. 23, 2012. Senior Alex Carl also looks to contribute for Cincinnati after recording an average of 76.2 strokes per round in the fall competition.
The team is coming off an impressive second place finish at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational to close out the fall season.
