Alderson Named Women's Golf Assistant Coach|

CINCINNATI – University of Cincinnati head women’s golf coach Janet Carl has announced the hiring of Brian Alderson as an assistant coach for the program.
“We are excited to bring someone with Brian’s experience and education, especially in the area of sports psychology, to UC,” Carl said. “Our program had the opportunity to work with Brian last spring and his hiring will allow our student-athletes to continue their mental-skills training under a certified sport psychology coach.”
Alderson’s current professional clients include soccer, rugby, cycling, tennis, volleyball, baseball and basketball athletes at both the collegiate and professional level. He also previously spent two years as a consultant at the University of Arkansas.
Alderson remains a full member of the British PGA with a professional playing career that included tournament play in Australia, South Africa and the United Kingdom as well as on the European Tour.
Alderson studied at the Professional Golfers Association, graduating with a degree in golf management. He went on to study sports psychology at Oxford Brookes University before gaining certified status with Performing Edge Coaching International. Alderson is also a member of the American College of Sports Medicine.
A native of Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, Alderson resides in Cincinnati with his wife Kathryn and two children Hugo and Neve.
