Former UC Golfer Alex Carl Featured on The Real Winning Edge TV Series

CINCINNATI - Former University of Cincinnati women's golfer, Alex Carl, is currently being featured on an episode of the television series The Real Winning Edge.

Carl, the daughter of current head coach Janet Carl, was selected for a segment on the show last spring. The Real Winning 

Edge is a 26-week half hour broadcast television program that introduces viewers to talented young people across America. The show focuses on youth who have built character dealing with adversities such as cancer, drug abuse or peer pressure. Filming took place last spring on UC's campus and at Traditions Golf Course.

A four-year member of UC's golf team, Carl earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST team as a senior after finishing fifth at the conference championship. Her 76.8 stroke average was second-best on the team. She shot a career-low 71 in her final round of the BIG EAST Championship. Carl added to her award total this summer, earning medalist honors at the Metropolitan Women's Amateur Championship at the Losantiville Country Club.

Carl is currently completing a two-year graduate program at the University of Southern Mississippi.
