Cincinnati-Louisville Lacrosse Game Time Changed|

The University of Cincinnati women's lacrosse team (6-7, 0-5) hits the road this weekend to take on the University of Louisville in a BIG EAST contest. The match is slated for Sunday, April 21 at 1 p.m. at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium. Due to scheduling issues both teams agreed to move the game from Saturday, April 20 to Sunday.
-The Cardinals lead the all-time series with the Bearcats 5-0. The last time these two teams met was March 27, 2012 when Louisville defeated Cincinnati 18-7 at Nippert Stadium in Cincinnati.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
-Louisville is not currently ranked but is receiving votes in the IWLCA Weekly Poll.
-The Cardinals have 6 players with 17 goals or more. Nikki Boltja leads the way with 51 goals on the season. Katie Oliverio has 34 assists along with her 23 goals.
-Louisville is 8-6, but have had several close calls this year Five of their games have been decided by three points are less.
-The Cardinals have only lost one game in Louisville this year, posting a record of 5-1 at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
-Louisville has scored 194 goals while their opponents have only been able to score 131.
-This is head coach Kellie Young's sixth season at the helm of the lacrosse program.
LAST TIME OUT
-The University of Cincinnati women's lacrosse team dropped a 15-2 decision to the University of Connecticut Friday April 12 in Storrs, Conn. The Bearcats saw goals from sophomore Megan Bell and freshman Sarah Del Bene. UC held the Huskies to just four goals in the second half, as freshman goalkeeper Meg Gulmi recorded five saves.
-The Bearcats fell to No. 5/6 Syracuse University 21-6 last Sunday in Syracuse, N.Y. Gulmi had four saves. Bell led the way for UC scoring three times, while Marissa Pierson added two goals.
STATS AND RECORDS THROUGH APRIL 14
-Meg Gulmi is ranked first in the BIG EAST conference in saves with 8.00 per game. She also ranks No. 38 in the nation in save percentage at .432.
-The Bearcats are fifth in the conference in save percentage at .419 and first in the conference in saves per game with 8.69 per game.
-Offensively, the Bearcats are third in the BIG EAST in shooting percentage, scoring on .478 percent of their shots.
-Kylie Ramsland ranks No. 27 in the nation for draw controls, averaging 3.85 per game. Bell is No. 38 with 3.31 per game.
BEARCATS TO HOST INAUGURAL BBQ BASH
The University of Cincinnati women's lacrosse team, in conjunction with UCATS, is hosting its inaugural BBQ Bash on Friday, April 26, 2013. The event will take place at the Sheakley Athletics Center immediately following the lacrosse game between UC and Villanova, which is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start.
Tickets for the Bash are $40 per person, which includes dinner and refreshments, and all proceeds directly benefit UC lacrosse. Guests age 21 and under are $30 per person, while those age six and under are admitted free.
A silent auction and raffle will be held at the Bash. Auction items include four Cincinnati Reds tickets (located behind home plate), special items from UC football and both men's and women's basketball teams. There will also be several baskets, including Shop `Til You Drop and UC Tailgaters baskets.
