Volunteer Assistant Coach - Goalkeeper Coach
Catherine Gordon joined the University of Cincinnati women's soccer staff in July of 2013 as a volunteer assistant goalkeeper coach. Gordon comes to UC with14 years experience in the profession.
Gordon is a former USL W-League goalkeeper for the New Jersey Wildcats, where she later served as their goalkeeper coach from 2010-2012.In her move to Ohio, she joined the Dayton Dutch Lions USL-W League team as an assistant coach working mainly with goalkeepers.
She has years of experience in player development with being a part of the goalkeeping staff of both Region I and New Jersey's ODP and more recently with Region II and the Ohio State South ODP. She also served as a goalkeeper coach for theNY Red Bulls RDS Programfrom 2011-12, where she was responsible for identifying and training pre-academy goalkeepers.
Gordon brings seven years of college coaching experience in both men's and women's soccer; she was the assistant coach for the City College of New York men's team in 2012 and also served an assistant coach for the Fairleigh Dickinson women'steam from 2006-11.
She has been a director at Star Goalkeeper Academy in Connecticut since 2006. Gordon is also the Founder andPresident of Net Edge Training, LLC. Since 1999 Net Edge Training has specialized in goalkeeper training for players, clubs and teams of all ages, from youth to professional.
Gordon holds a USSF "C" License and a NSCAA Advanced National Goalkeeping Diploma. She has also served as aCertified Trainer forPositive Coaching Alliance.
