Utley Named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week|

CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati freshman Kristina Utley (Castro Valley, Calif./Castro Valley) was named the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Utley totaled 11 saves in a 1-0-1 week for the Bearcats (2-1-1). In a 2-1 win at Northwestern on Aug. 26, Utley made seven saves. In a 0-0 draw against Loyola on Aug. 28, the freshman had four saves and earned her second shutout of the season.
On the season, Utley has started and played every minute of action for the Bearcats. In four starts in 2011, she owns a 1.35 goals against average.
Cincinnati returns to action Friday when it plays Western Carolina University at 7 p.m. at Gettler Stadium. UC will then host University of Wisconsin-Madison at 1 p.m. Sunday, also at Gettler.
