    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Kim Gradek's goal with two minutes remaining in the first half powered Indiana to a 1-0 win over Cincinnati in a non-league women's soccer contest on Friday.

    Gradek scored on a breakaway from the right side at the 42:54 mark with Emily Hotz earning an assist. Goalkeep Shaunna Daugherty recorded two saves in earning the shutout.

    The Hoosier defense limited the Bearcats to 11 shots though Cincinnati held Indiana in check for nine shots.

    The contest was the season opener for both teams.

    Cincinnati, 0-1, hosts Minnesota on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
