The Bearcats leave the friendly confines of Gettler Stadium for the first time this season traveling to Oxford, Ohio to face rival Miami (OH) on Friday, Sept. 5.The match marks the third Mid-American opponent UC has faced this season.

The Bearcats are accustomed to getting out to a fast start as all seven of their goals have been tallied in the first half of play. UC has outscored their opponent 7-5 in the first half, while allowing just one goal in the four games they've played in the second period.

Senior midfielder Jenn Johannigman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) is off to a fast start as she leads the team in points with five and goals with two. The Cincinnati native also put away the game-winning goal in the 2-1 victory over Michigan. Her play earned a BIG EAST Honor Roll selection for the week of Sept. 1.

Freshman forward Julie Morrissey (Abington, Mass./Tabor Academy) has been stellar in her first four games at UC. The Abington, Mass. native is tied for third on the team in points with three and knocked home the game-winning goal against Bowling Green.

Defenders Kim Sykes (Cincinnati, Ohio/Sycamore), Heather Neiser (Batavia, Ohio/St. Ursula) and Lindsey Noteboom (Hurst, Texas/Birdville) have a combined 154 games started  to anchor the back line for Cincinnati. Sykes (58 games) and Neiser (40) have started every match of their Cincinnati career and Noteboom (56) has started all but two games.
