Setting the Scene:
UC opens a two-match roadtrip Friday with a 7:30 p.m. matchup versus USF in Tampa, Fla. The Bearcats
then will face off against Marquette beginning 2 p.m. ET Sunday in Wisconsin.
After falling to Big Ten Conference foe Nebraska on Sept. 2, UC lost two matches at the Denver University
Invitational, all three by scores of 2-1, to UC-Irvine (Sept. 7) and Colorado (Sept. 9).
Sophomore goalkeeper Kristina Utley recorded a career-high 12 saves vs. Colorado. An own goal was the
deciding point in the match versus the Buffaloes.
Sophomore MF Megan Cravenor and junior F Jazmine Rhodes were named to the DU Invite All-Tournament
team after both totaled one goal in the two-match event.
Cincinnati fell to DePaul 1-0 in its conference opener Sept. 14 before losing at Notre Dame 7-0 on Sept. 16.
Freshman forward Laura Rose scored the winning goal with 2 second remaining in double overtime in a 1-0
UC triumph over St. John's on Sept. 21.

Bearcats and Bulls Play To 1-1 Draw
Senior midfielder Logan Ballinger (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) scored her first goal of the season to help the University of Cincinnati women's soccer team play University of South Florida to a 1-1 draw Friday evening at Gettler Stadium.

Bearcats Fall To Marquette 4-0
The University of Cincinnati women's soccer team fell to No. 10-ranked Marquette University 4-0 Sunday afternoon at Gettler Stadium.
Cincinnati owns an all-time record vs. USF of 8-7-1. The Bearcats and Bulls played to a 1-1 draw on Sept. 30,
2011 at Gettler Stadium.
UC trails Marquette 9-13-3 in the all-time series record. Last season, No. 10 Marqutte topped Cincinnati 4-0
on Oct. 2, 2011 at Gettler Stadium.
Greer, Rose Earn BIG EAST Honors:
Junior midfielder Katie Greer
was named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll on Aug. 27 for her
performance against Northeastern Aug. 26.
Greer produced her first-career goal, a game-winner with 1:13 left in double overtime that lifted the
Bearcats to a 2-1 win.
Greer is the second Bearcat to earn conference accolades in 2012 after freshman forward Laura Rose
named the BIG EAST Conference Rookie of the Week on Aug. 20.
Rose scored her first collegiate goal in UC's season opener at Elon on Aug. 17. She turned around two days
later and scored a pair of goals at N.C. State to lead the Bearcats to a 3-1 win.

Sophomore goalkeeper Kristina Utley leads the BIG EAST Conference in saves (52) and ranks second in saves
per match (5.78).
Freshman forward Laura Rose is fourth in the BIG EAST in shot attempts per game with a 3.56 average,
while junior forward Jazmine Rhodes (3.00) sits at 10th.
Rose is also tied for ninth in points (9) and seventh in goals scored (4).
Junior midfielder Katie Greer's three assists are tied for ninth in the league.

Cincinnati hosts a pair of BIG EAST Conference matches at Gettler Stadium next weekend.
The Bearcats play Georgetown on Friday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m.
UC will then welcome Villanova University for a 1 p.m. Sunday matchup on Oct. 9.
