PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- University of Cincinnati women's soccer players Heather Haney (Hilliard, Ohio/Hilliard Davidson) and Jenn Johannigman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) have been named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll for the week ending on Oct. 16, the league office announced today.

Haney, a junior transfer from Indiana, scored her first career goal in UC's 4-3 loss against No. 14 Marquette on Oct. 14 at Gettler Stadium. She added her second goal two days later, posting the game-tying tally against South Florida on Oct. 16. The forward has played in all 16 matches for the Bearcats this season, making two starts.

Johannigman posted a pair of goals against Marquette, as she and Haney accounted for four of UC's five goals scored during the weekend. The freshman forward leads the Bearcats with six goals and 12 points. She has started all 16 matches this season.

The Bearcats host two conference matches this weekend to close the regular season. On Oct. 21, UC welcomes Rutgers to Gettler Stadium at 7 p.m. Seton Hall will then visit on Senior Day for the regular season finale on Oct. 23. Cincinnati will recognize its seniors in a ceremony prior to the 12 p.m. kickoff.
