Couch Wins Notre Dame Invitational|

Notre Dame, Ind.- Sophomore Allison Couch (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) won the individual title and the University of Cincinnati women's golf team placed ninth overall Sunday at the Notre Dame Invitational.
Tied for second heading into the final 18 holes of golf, Couch fired a 78 in the last round to win by one stroke over Evansville's Andrea Werner. Couch had previously carded rounds of 77 and 75, topping a field of 105 golfers.
Couch becomes the first Bearcat to earn medalist honors since Jena Harris won at the Illini Spring Classic in 1999.
The Bearcats as a team finished with a three round score of 982, just one behind Ball State. The host Irish won the team title with a score of 945.
Senior Amanda Puckett (Farmland, Ind./Monroe Central) placed 31st for UC, finishing with a 245 after a final round of 77.
The Bearcats return to competition on October 11-12 at the Eastern Kentucky Invitational.
