Jennifer Keiner joined the University of Cincinnati women's tennis program as an assistant coach in 2008-09. In addition to her duties at UC, Keiner is a tennis pro at Western Tennis and Fitness Club.
Keiner, a native of Las Vegas, NM, began at UC as a member of the tennis team in the 2006-07 season. She played the No. 6 position (2-2) and finished with a 6-3 overall record. In doubles play she recorded a 5-4 overall record as a junior. Her senior year she played at the No. 2 position, finishing her career at UC with a 14-15 singles record and a 10-19 overall record in doubles play.
She came to UC as a transfer from NCAA Division II Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. She earned second team all-conference honors at Washburn after posting an 18-10 singles record her sophomore year. She was 15-7 in dual singles and 15-8 in dual doubles, all at the No. 1 position. Keiner posted a nine-match singles winning streak and won 10 of her final 13 matches before reaching the third round in singles play of the ITA North Central Regional Tournament.
As a freshman at Washburn she posted an 18-9 singles record and was 14-13 in doubles play. She went 11-8 at No. 1 singles and 13-11 at No. 1 doubles.
In high school Keiner won the district and 3A state championship as a freshman at Robertson High School and was district and state runner-up as a sophomore and junior. She played No. 1 singles and doubles for five seasons and was ranked as high as No. 12 in the under 18 USTA Southwest Region.
Keiner graduated from UC in 2009 with a degree in biology. She began pursuing her master's degree in education the following year. Keiner has a younger brother, Kevin, who plays tennis at Bradley University in Peoria, IL. Keiner and her husband, Evan Mulch, reside in Cincinnati.
