SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The University of Cincinnati women's tennis team dropped a match, 5-2, against Georgetown Saturday at the Drumlins Tennis Center in Syracuse, N.Y.

 

The Bearcats (2-2, 0-2 BIG EAST) were swept in doubles action, losing the three flights 8-5, 8-6, and 8-5. Elizabeth Young and Jennifer Keiner played the closest match in doubles, losing the No. 2 flight, 8-6.

 

UC picked up both of its wins in singles play as Keiner took the No. 2 flight 7-5, 6-0, and Jennifer Rowen the No. 4 flight in a tie break 5-7, 6-3, 7-6 (10-8). For Keiner, it was her second win of the weekend.

 

Cincinnati continues BIG EAST play next weekend on Saturday, Feb. 2 as it travels to Louisville before taking on Miami (OH) Sunday in a non-conference match at the Queen City Racquet.
