Bearcats Tennis Battles West Virginia, but falls 4-3

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - For the second day in a row, the University of Cincinnati tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision in a BIG EAST match, losing to host West Virginia today.
After dropping the three doubles matches and falling behind 1-0 to the Mountaineers, the Bearcats battled throughout singles play looking to pull off a come-from-behind victory.
Cincinnati took four of the six contests to three sets, but fell just one match short, losing by a final of 4-3. Jennifer Keiner won at the No. 2 spot, followed by Val Dandik and Jennifer Rowen who were victorious at No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
The Bearcats return home Sunday, March 30 for a non-conference match vs. Boston University. The match will be held at Noon at the Western Tennis and Fitness Club (www.westerntfc.com).
