Women's Tennis Defeated on Road by DePaul|

CHICAGO, Ill. - The University of Cincinnati women’s tennis team fell 7-0 to No. 64 DePaul (11-7) on Sunday afternoon in Chicago, Ill. at Lakeshore Sport and Fitness.
The Bearcats were outmatched in doubles action with the Blue Demons taking two out of three in convincing fashion. Sierra Sullivan and Carly Wilson were defeated 8-1 by Carolin Neumann and Cali Gustafson, while Jasmine Lee and Ashleigh Witte fell 8-0 to Patricia Fargas and Kelsey Lawson. In the No. 1 doubles position for the first time this season, Kristina Georgieva and Safiyya Ismail were defeated in a tough, close 8-7 decision against DePaul’s Jasmin Kling and Gia McKnight.
Cincinnati’s struggles continued into singles play with four of the six Bearcats losing in straight sets.
Jasmine Lee lost a hard-fought 4-6, 6-2, 10-3 decision to Jasmin Kling, with Ashleigh Witte falling in three sets as well in a 6-2, 4-6, 11-9 decision against DePaul’s Gia McKnight.
The weekend’s losses dropped UC’s overall record to 6-13 as well dropping their BIG EAST record below .500 to 3-4.
Cincinnati will return to home action on Wednesday, April 4 when they welcome Tri-State rival Northern Kentucky at 2 p.m. for UC’s first outdoor home match of the season at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center.
