CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s tennis team will compete outside at the Trabert-Talbert Tennis Center for the first time this spring as they host Northern Kentucky University for a midweek contest Tuesday, April 1.

The Bearcats will be outside at home for the first time this spring after hosting six matches indoors at the Western Tennis & Fitness Center. The Musketeers snapped UC’s three-game winning streak with a 5-2 win last Wednesday. Cincinnati was able to pick up the first point after winning two of the three matches doubles matches. Senior Ashleigh Witte (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) gave the Bearcats their lone point during singles play and upped her singles win streak to four.

Northern Kentucky comes into match with a 5-9 overall record, having dropped their last six matches. The Norse’s skid includes four conference losses and non-conference setbacks against Xavier and Wright State.

The Norse are led by Maria Voscekova in singles with a 13-7 mark. Voscekova is also leading the team in doubles victory alongside her running mate Danielle Donahue.

The Bearcats defeated NKU each of the last two seasons by 7-0 scores. The match is set for a 3 p.m. start time.
