Tennis Heads to Wright State University Raider Shootout|

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati tennis team will head to Dayton, Ohio to participate in the Wright State University Raider Shootout Sept. 28-30.
Eight Bearcats will make the trip, including senior Jasmine Lee (Canton, Ohio/Glen Oaks), senior Caitlin O'Gara (Springboro, Ohio/Bishop Fenwick), freshman Kelly Poggensee-Wei (Lake Villa, Ill./Graslake North), junior Sierra Sullivan (Austin, Texas), freshman Hannah Wille (St. Louis, Mo./Parkway Central), junior Carly Wilson (Fort Mitchell, Ky./Beechwood), and junior Ashleigh Witte (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) who will compete in both singles and doubles, and graduate student Elise Woulfe (Western Springs, Ill./Lyons Township) who will compete in doubles only.
A total of nine teams will compete against the Bearcats, including Dayton, Detroit, IUPUI, Northern Kentucky, Northwestern Ohio, Oberlin, Oakland, Wittenberg and Wright State.
Cincinnati will compete in three singles flights, with each flight being comprised of a main draw and a back draw. Competing in Flight A will be Witte, O'Gara, Lee and Wille. Witte will meet Detroit's Valeria Kulikouskaya, O'Gara will face Dayton's Claire McNulty, Lee will match up against Oberiln's Brenna Sheldon and Wille will play Oakland's Karine Celis. Poggensee-Wei will participate in Flight B, matching up against IUPUI's Vanessa Whyte in the first round. Sullivan and Wilson will both play in Flight C with Sullivan meeting Oakland's Grace Keating and Wilson facing IUPUI's Rachel Bridegroom.
In the doubles competition, three Bearcat teams will play in Flight A. Witte and Lee will take on Dayton's Stevens and Peck while Wille and Poggensee-Wei will face Wright State's McNamara and Leweis. Rounding out Flight A will be O'Gara and Wilson who face Detroit's Sujashville and Fernandez. Sullivan and Woulfe will compete in Flight B and will face Oakland's Guevara and Sabourin.
The shootout will begin on Friday with two rounds of doubles action and one round of singles. Saturday will contain one doubles round and two singles, and the action will end on Sunday with the final round of both doubles and singles.
