CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati volleyball team released its list of summer volleyball camps on Monday. The team will host one team camp, three individual camps and three specialty sessions in the month of July, all on the campus of the University of Cincinnati.

"After last year's showing at camp and spending time with each of our 188 campers, I cannot wait for this summer's camps" said head coach Molly Alvey. "Our expectations for this year are extremely high as we want to continue to help our campers grow as volleyball players. I love having the opportunity to attend every session of our camps. On top of teaching the sport, it is very important to me to show our campers the energy around campus, our athletic department and our UC volleyball program."

The High School Team Camp will run from July 17-19. Teams can stay overnight or can commute to the camp daily. The goal of the team camp is to prepare each team for the upcoming season by providing ample time for practice and competition. There will also be opportunities to watch and participate in drills and demos conducted by the Cincinnati staff and players. High school coaches have the option of coaching their own team or requesting one of our experienced camp staff.

The first individual camp is the Elite Skills Camp which will run from July 7-9. The Bearcats Elite Skills Camp is designed for student athletes aged 14-18 with an intermediate to high volleyball skill level. The Elite Skills Camp will include sessions designed to take your game to the next level. This camp is designed to push and instruct the individual player with advanced techniques and training or to help the intermediate athlete polish their skill set. Players can expect to participate in educational sessions on being recruited and the experience of a college student athlete. Registration is open to all campers but it is strongly encouraged that these athletes have high school volleyball experience.

The Bearcats Youth Skills Camp and the Bearcats Junior Skills Camp will both take place July 14-16. The youth camp is an excellent opportunity for players to get detailed technical instruction in all areas of the game. Designed with multiple skill levels in mind, from beginner to intermediate. Focus is on each individual getting the most out of the camp experience. Our staff will ensure a solid base of knowledge in every skill, with a particular focus in your position. Athletes will be divided by skill level at the start of camp. The camp is great for players of all levels of experience. Expect lots and lots of reps and lots of fun! This is an amazing opportunity to meet the current Cincinnati Bearcats volleyball team.

The junior camp is geared toward the beginner or players in the early stages of their game. We will stress learning each volleyball skill in a spirited environment while including some of the current Bearcats in fun-filled activities. The Bearcats Junior Skills Camp will be a half-day camp and will be run at the same time as our Youth Skills Camp.

UC volleyball will also hold three specialty sessions to get position-specific instruction. The session for setters and middle hitters will be on July 14, the session for outside hitters and right side hitters will be on July 15 and the libero session will be on July 16.
