CINCINNATI - University of Cincinnati head volleyball coach Molly Alvey spent Friday, April 13, speaking on a panel for the Special Olympics Sports Showcase. The fundraiser for the Hamilton County Special Olympics included discussions about conference realignment, the future of sports and advice for future student-athletes.

Alvey was joined by juniors Jordanne Scott and Emily Hayden who demonstrated proper form and played a few sets of volleyball with the Special Olympians. The trio traveled to the Cincinnati Sports Club as a continuation of a clinic the team hosted in February on campus.

The fundraiser took place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and included prizes, raffles and a silent auction. In addition to volleyball, the Olympians also learned about golf and basketball.

Men's basketball associate head coach Larry Davis and UC's Life Skills Coordinator Cassaundra Thorpe also participated in the panel.
