CINCINNATI – Morgan Allred (Carrolton, Texas/Hebron) of the University of Cincinnati volleyball team has been named to the American Athletic Conference volleyball weekly honor roll on following three matches, and two double-double performances, last week. The outside hitter/defensive specialist paced the Bearcats with 53 kills for a 3.79 kills per set average and led her team to its first win of the season over Rutgers University on Oct. 27.
The sophomore notched 12 kills and seven digs against crosstown rival Xavier on Oct. 22 at Fifth Third Arena.
Allred put together the most dominating performance of her career against Connecticut on Oct. 25 with a career-best 22 kills and 11 digs for the first of her two double-doubles. She followed that performance with 19 kills and 11 digs during the 3-2 win over Rutgers.
The performances against UConn and RU were the second and third double-doubles of Allred’s career.
Allred and the Bearcats will continue their road swing on Friday, Nov. 1 when they play at Memphis at 8 p.m. ET.
