Nicholson Earns Honor Roll Distinction

CINCINNATI – Me’Ashah Nicholson (Shiloh, Ill./Belleville Althoff) closed out the 2013 campaign with some conference recognition, earning a spot on the final American Athletic Conference weekly honor roll. The junior led the team with 30 kills in two matches, helping the Bearcats to a 1-1 record in the final two matches of the season.

In a 3-2 win over Rutgers, Nicholson tallied 14 kills, four blocks and two digs. Her power was also on display in a match against Connecticut when she recorded a match-high 16 kills and a .448 hitting percentage. She also collected five digs, three blocks and a service ace in the match.

Overall in 2013, Nicholson ranked second on the team with 240 kills and led the team with 114 blocks.

This is the first-career conference honor for Nicholson.
