    BEARCATS TRADITIONS

The UC Department of Athletics has worked diligently to increase fan enthusiasm at the games. All fans are asked to participate in the following calls to action:

BEARCATS Fans SING the National Anthem
At Nippert Stadium we do not have anthem singers for every game because EVERYONE sings the anthem. This is a great tradition and one which makes a big impression to the worldwide television audience as CINCINNATI shows its national pride!

    BEARCATS Fans Wear BLACK!
Head Coach Brian Kelly knows that Bearcats fans and supporters are the most integral aspect of our BIG EAST CHAMPIONSHIP Program. With that in mind, Coach Kelly and the team encourage all fans to "COME EARLY, BE LOUD AND WEAR BLACK" in order to enhance the atmosphere inside Nippert Stadium and make it one of the most feared stadium's throughout college football.

BEARCATS Fans Stand Tall And Sing Loud
UC fans are encouraged to stand and sing the University of Cincinnati Fight Song, "Cheer Cincinnati" and Alma Mater along with the UC Band.

    BEARCATS Fans Kick It OFF
UC fans are encouraged to stand and participate in the kickoff cheer:
    "Oooooooooooo - N - A - T - I!"

BEARCATS Fans Spark the DOWN THE DRIVE cheer
Initiated by the UC Band, Dance Team and Cheerleaders or UC fans themselves. When started, the crowd is encouraged to stand and participate in the cheer:
    "Ooooooooooo - Oooooooooo - Oooooooooooo - clap - clap - clap - clap - U - C!"

    BEARCATS Fans Show Their Pride
Bearcats fans are invited to stay immediately after the game to show appreciation to the UC team while the Band plays the Fight Song and its postgame performance.

TRAVELING TO AWAY GAMES "No matter if we are at home in Nippert Stadium, or on the road, our fans are a big part of pushing our football team to being the best they can be. Championship Programs have Championship Fans who follow their team on the road!"
    - Head Coach Brian Kelly
