The University of Cincinnati women’s track & field program excelled in the classroom this spring posting a team grade-point of 3.34. A total of seven student-athletes garnered 4.0's.
The team’s 3.34 GPA aided the athletic department in setting a new departmental record GPA of 3.125 across all 17 programs.
"We are extremely excited with the spring semester academic results," said senior associate athletics director for student-athlete support services Dr. Joe Luckey. "Our student-athletes have responded all year to the expectations laid out by our department and the coaches. Achieving at least a 3.0 GPA is the standard at UC.”
Head coach Susan Seaton’s program had seven student-athletes post GPA’s of 4.0, which is the most for any team in the athletic department. Those that held a perfect GPA are: Hannah Christ, Cameron Gardner, Kaitlyn Good, April McPherson, Kaitlyn Meyer, Anne Pace and Sarah Rasnick.
The Bearcats also had 21 student-athletes hit at least a 3.4 for the semester to earn Dean’s List recognition. In addition, 31 earned a spot on the Bearcats Honor Roll for achieving a 3.0 GPA during the spring.
