CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati baseball team recorded 13 strikeouts in a 6-4 win over Butler University at Marge Schott Stadium on Tuesday night.

Both advanced on a wild pitch and junior Justin Glass (Fort Wayne, Ind./Carroll) was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Freshman Ian Happ (Pittsburgh Pa./Mt. Lebanon) hit a single to left field that scored Schmidt and Perron to make it a 5-4 Bearcats lead.
Senior closer Andrew Strenge (Yardley, Pa./Holy Ghost Prep) pitched out of a bases loaded jam in the eighth inning to keep the one-run advantage.
Cincinnati played add-on in the eighth when freshman infielder Devin Wenzel (Blandon, Pa./Fleetwood Area) started the inning off with a single up the middle. He advanced to second on a passed ball and later scored on a Murray single for the final 6-4 tally.
