CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati men's basketball team gives its fans their first glimpse at the 2013-14 squad on Saturday, Oct. 26 when the Bearcats play host to Canada's Carleton University at Fifth Third Arena. The exhibition contest tips at 2 p.m. and will be available only on BearcatsTV via a live stream at GoBEARCATS.com.
Saturday's matchup is the first meeting between the teams since 2010 when Cincinnati and Carleton played twice before the 2010-11 campaign. UC posted an 87-70 win on Sept. 4 in Ottawa, Ontario, during a three-game trip in Canada. The Bearcats also defeated the Ravens 89-57 in an exhibition contest at Fifth Third Arena on Nov. 1.
The Bearcats return two starters and eight lettermen from last season's team that posted a 22-12 overall record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Senior guard Sean Kilpatrick returns for his final season as a Bearcat after averaging 17.0 points and 2.41 three-pointers a year ago. He was tabbed a preseason first team All-American Conference selection by the league's coaches last week at the league's media day.
Saturday's contest with Carleton is the first of two preseason exhibition games for the Bearcats. UC also welcomes Bellarmine on Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. The regular seasons starts against North Carolina Central on Nov. 8 at 8 p.m.

-Cincinnati returns two starters and eight lettermen from last season's team that finished 22-12 overall and advanced to the NCAA tournament for the third consecutive season.
-The 2013-14 Bearcats are led by senior guard Sean Kilpatrick who was named first team All-American Athletic Conference by the league's coaches at AAC Media Day on Oct. 16 in Memphis. Kilpatrick averaged 17.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.41 three-pointers last season and leads all current AAC players with 1,444 career points.
-Senior forwards Justin Jackson and Titus Rubles man the UC frontcourt. Jackson ranked eighth in the BIG EAST Conference in blocks (1.37) last season. Rubles is UC's returning leader in rebounds (5.9) and assists (2.0).
-The Bearcats were picked fourth in the American preseason coaches' poll. UC received 58 points to finish behind predicted league champion,Louisville (81 points), UConn (69) and Memphis (68). Temple was picked fifth with 40 points, followed by SMU (39), Houston (28), USF (27), UCF (24) and Rutgers (16).
-UC's Sean Kilpatrick and Carleton's Philip and Thomas Scrubb played against each other when USA met Canada in the final preliminary game of the 2013 World University Games in Kazan, Russia in July. The Canadians earned a 94-85 win over Kilpatrick and USA Basketball, preventing the Americans from advancing to the medal round. USA finished ninth while Canada took fourth.
-The Bearcats are 3-0 in exhibition contests against Carleton. UC has won all 14 preseason exhibition games during the Mick Cronin coaching era and each of its last 34 dating back to an 85-82 loss to Athletes in Action on Nov. 18, 1995.
-UC plays host to Bellarmine on Nov. 2 at 2 p.m., in its second preseason exhibition game before tipping off the 2013-14 regular season against North Carolina Central on Nov. 8 at 8 p.m. ET.
