CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati women’s golf team held steady in eighth place following the second round of the Old Waverly Classic hosted by Mississippi State.
The Bearcats dropped three strokes from their first-day score thanks in part to Olivia Dose (Goteborg, Sweden/Goteborg Hogre Samskola). The senior’s second-round, 1-over par score of 73 was a four-stroke improvement from Monday’s first round. Dose and Andrea Malek (Tibro, Sweden/Klippans Gymnasieskola), who matched her first-round score of 75, are each tied for 21st after the second round to lead UC.
Stefanie Mitchell (Sarasota, Fla./Riverview High School) also improved, dropping two strokes off her Monday round to card a 77 on Tuesday. Mackenzie Moir (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart Academy) shot an 82 on Tuesday while Tara Liebert (Mason, Ohio/Mason) shot 84 to account for UC’s team scoring.
